Mangalore, August 27: Abdul Khader Yamani, a Madrasa teacher was arrested in the sexual harassment case and entire city is raged against Madrasa teacher. But, now the issue takes new twist as few Muslims leaders tries to protect the accused.
The accused hails from Poyyatabail had shifted his base to Boliyar. But, few days before the Ramzan, he started to sexually harass the six-year-old girl. The girl did not reveal the truth with anyone, since Yamani had threatened her. But, later, she told the matter with her classmates, who in turn brought up the issue to the notice of the school teachers. He informed her mother and suggested to give the police complaint. Hence, girl’s mother gave complaint with police and he had taken to custody.
The twist in the case is community leaders had called for a meeting and they tried to persuade her not to blow up the issue.
Though locals said that Yamani was involved in several similar cases, some leaders try to protect him and also trying their level best to cover up the entire issue.
By gathering near Konaje police station, some his supporters and sympathisers try to show that Yamani is innocent even though the police tried to inform them that he is was facing serious charges.
