Puttur, March 26: A social activist from Puttur Mr.Vijaya Kumar Sorake has demanded in his angry voice that thorough investigation be ordered in to the mysterious death of young girl, resident of Dolpady, Puttur and computer student in the city’s college near Kadri Park, near Mangalore.
It was reported on 19th March,’13 that she has committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree.
But according to Mr.Sorake it was suspected that it was a pre-planned murder, not the suicide case. Therefore he demanded thorough probe in to the said case and all the accused involved must be booked within a week failing which a massive protest with the co-operation of various organizations would be staged in the town in support of Prameela.
Speaking to media reporters in the press meet today Sorake said that according to statement given by Mr.Ammu Poojari, father of deceased resident of Dolpady in Kaniyoor village she had no problems that would force her to take extreme step like this. Since her body bore injury marks it was strongly believed that she might have been raped and strangled her to murder.
An appeal also would be made to the SP to order an early probe he said.
Mr.Hariprasad-brother of deceased Prameela, A.V.Mohan-President, Charvaka Hitharakshana Samithi, Kusumadhar and others were present in the meet.
