Mangalore, August 24: In day light, thieves looted 40 grams of gold and other valuable things, altogether worth more than Rs. 1 lakh from a house of Bharathi Nagar, Bejai.
The incident occurred in the house of Padmanabha and during that time nobody was there in the house. The house was owned by Padmanab.
The thieves entered the house by breaking the bathroom window rods and took away valuables from the cupboard. The theft comprised of 40 grams gold, Rs 5,000 cash and two mobile phones.
Padmanab is a labour contractor by profession and around 8 am every members of house were out for different reason. But, when they came back to house at 4 pm, they saw the things were looted.
Barke police have filed a case.
