Mangalore, August 23: To implement the Rs 30 thousand packages to an acre, for areca nut rot problem, request letter was submitted to state gardening Minister Shyamanoor Shivashankarappa at Sparsha Hospital led by KPCC Kisan congress vice president Sachin Meega.
Due to lack of staff recovery programmes are working properly and government must appoint the officials soon. The Deputy Commissioners of Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga stated that there were irregularities in the recovery package; hence, farmers faced problems from the project and rot problem. Because of the heavy rain farmers cannot able to spread the medicine, where it leads to harm to the trees. In other side cooperation banks and nationalised banks are continuously sends notice to farmers and moving put cases. Hence, under the Gorak singh report farmers must get the Rs. 30,000 for an acre, he said.
