Mulki, August 23: ‘Being a teacher to Mahatma Gandhi and strong faith in cosmopolitanism principle made Narayana Guru’s ideal as an inspiration to every backward community’, said Special economic Zone public relation officer Ramachandra Bhandarkar.
He was speaking after distributing the scholarships to students on the occasion of 159th birth anniversary of Brahmashree Narayana Guru, organised by Mulki Billava Sangha, said that if we follow the principle of Narayana Guru, it’s not difficult to make a better society.
Entrepreneur M. Sarvotham Anchan presided over the function. Billava Samaja seva sangha president Yadeesh Amin, Power lifting champion Akshatha Poojary and industrialist Narayana Shetty were felicitated on the occasion.
Kateel degree college lecturer Prof. Keshava has given special lecture on Narayana Guru and scholarship had been distributed to 200 high school, degree and post graduation students.
Kokkarakal Mohan Amin, Shree Narayana Guru P. U College convener H. V Kotian, Honorary general secretary Gopinath Padanga and Narayana Guru Women authority president Sunitha Damodar were present.
