Udipi: Workshop on’ pre-delivery fetus identification test’ rule for ‘Asha-workers’

Udipi; August 20: One day workshop about pre-delivery fetus determination test act has been organized by district PC-PNDT advisory committee at district health department office auditorium on August 20, Tuesday for the benefit of udipi taluk ‘Asha-workers’.

Inaugurating the programme, Gowri Poojarthy, president taluk panchayat said in her address that government has passed some ordinances for the benefits of the women and uphold the importance of women in the society and that has to be used suitably and this is one of the best programmes for such things, she said.

While speaking Khader Shah, district Vaarthadhikari said that this PC-PNDT organized programme will reach to the society through ‘Asha workers’ and now this type of programme should be held at village level, he said.

Dr A Ramachandra, taluk health and family welfare official has talked relevantly about the programme and informed about the facts and figures and ill effects of sex ratio difference.

Prof A C Thunga,as material resources person,Dr M G Rama,District RCH Official,Dr Shree Rama Rao,district family welfare official,Dr Nagaratna,taluk health official,Dr D Satyanarayan,district health education official have attended and gave comprehensive information about the programme.
