Bikarnakatte Govt School celebrates Independence Day in a unique style!!! Thanks to the patronage of old students association

Mangalore; August 15: Occasions are being celebrated in different ways in different parts of the globe on different occasions but objective may be the same. Usually children are treated with gifts and sweets on these occasions but here in one of the rarer of rare cases, the students of the Bikarnakatte Government higher primary school have been treated with free hair cut as a special gift on the occasion of 67th Independence Day celebration.

The idea of free hair cut fete was initiated by old student’s association of the school as they have decided to celebrate Independence Day in a different way and unique style. This school has just 76 students and is still going strong, thanks to the patronage extended by its old students. Over 30 students of the school including girls have got free haircut.

A team of barbers led by Sanjay Mahale, owner of Kudla Men’s Beauty Saloon did the hair cutting task on August 12 as Tuesday was the weekly off day.

Sabitha Misquith, local corporator, Vedavathi, former principal of St Aloysius evening college and school staff were present on the occasion.
