Mangalore, August 13: Due to the rain from three month areca nut crops are prone from rots problem, hence regarding areca nut and paddy crops report must submit within 20 days, ordered Zilla Panchayat president Koragappa Naik to Agriculture and Gardening department official.
He was speaking in the meet at Zilla Panchayat Nethravathi auditorium and drew the attention of president of meet regarding the rots problem.
There is requirement of suggestion from the specialists to the cultivators and there is confusion in using of Biofit /Biopot/ Biofit/ Biocure, hence regarding the issue president suggested the gardening department officials to give the report through the investigation. Meanwhile, panchayat decided that to give the more time to farmers to pay the debt back.
Zilla Panchayat CEO Thulasi Maddineni suggested the concerned officials to collect the name, acres of land along with percentage.
Meanwhile, she suggested the concerned officials to provide the fertilizers to the farmers and regarding the progressive work under the coverage of Zilla Panchayat, she said that within 15 days she will check the progress of the works. On the occasion members urged that Anganavadi construction must take back from the Nirmithi centre and should hand over to zilla panchayat engineering section.
Regarding the Basava project Thulasi Maddineni responded that orders are given to fulfil the house related 2009- 10 pending projects. Totally every confusion will be solved in coming 2-3 months.
On the occasion Dengue problem, Water scarcity problem and lack of medicine issue are also discussed in the meet.
