Sri AJ Shetty inaugurates Free Health Camp at Sri Bhoothanatheshawara Temple

Sri Shetty further added that the institutions promoted by him, namely AJ Institute of Medical Sciences and AJ Hospital & Research Centre offered a wide range of health services free of charge to the poor people. “Our free services include hi-end treatments for cardiac care, cancer, diabetes and other diseases. Everything is provided free including medicines, bed and boarding. Average of 400 people are availing this facility at any time,” he said.

He appreciated the efforts of Vijaynath Shetty in promoting rural causes under the auspices of Sri Bhoothanatheshawara Temple and expressed his best wishes for the success of the health camp and other projects to follow.  

The temple hosted the Free Health Check Camp on Sunday, 24^th March 2013 in association with AJ Institute of Medical Sciences (AJIMS) from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. About 300 village people availed the camp facility.

A wide range of services were provided in General Medicine, Women’s Health, Children’s Health and Skin Care by the AJIMS team of doctors and healthcare personnel, including free consultation, treatment and medicines, free ECG, free Blood Tests and free Ultra Sound scan and reference for free follow up treatment at AJIMS.

Alongside Janashree Group Insurance Scheme was introduced for the benefit of the rural people in association with Life Insurance Corporation of India. About 125 people have enrolled for this scheme and more are expected to register over the next two days as registrations will be accepted at the temple office on Monday and Tuesday also.

Vijaynath Shetty, Chief Co-ordinator of Sri Bhoothanatheshawara Temple made the introductory address and Dr. Manjunath Kamath, Head of the Department of Gynecology, AJIMS spoke on the medical facilities provided.

Krishna Kumar Poonja of Sevanjali Trust, Farangipete gave a detailed account of the benefits of Janashree Group Insurance Scheme. Local community leaders, Jagadish Adhikari and R.K. Prithviraj too addressed the gathering.

Kanthappa Shetty of Sri Bhoothanatheshawara Bhajana Mandali welcomed the gathering and Bhaskar Arasa, Public Relations Officer of AJ Hospital & Research Centre proposed the vote of thanks. Naveen Hegde compeered the programme.

 Janashree Group Insurance Scheme – Date Extended till Tuesday, 26^th March

In order to provide economic security to the underprivileged people of this rural region, Janashree Group Insurance Scheme was introduced in association with Life Insurance Corporation of India. Those availing the insurance should pay Rs.100 premium for Rs. 30,000 insurance cover for one year. This includes cover of Rs. 30,000/- in case of normal death and Rs. 75,000/- for accidental death, along with a string of other benefits. The scheme is open to Below the Poverty Line (BPL) individuals aged from 18 to 58 years. Age proof like school certificate, ration card or voter ID should be produced. Registration is open for enrolling in this scheme till 26^th March at the temple office.
