Sullia, August 11: The main road from Sampaje to Sullia is bad in condition, hence urging the proper road facility villagers staged a protest at Aranthod on Saturday.
Students, village vehicle drivers and owners association and public were participated in the protest and hundreds of people shouted against the non progressive movement by sitting in the road, which caused to traffic jam for more than an hour.
Afterwards Sullia thahasildar T.M Venugopal visited the spot and received the appeal of the people. Meanwhile, he assured the public about progress of the road, hence protest was taken back.
Bhavani Shankar Adthale, Kishore Kumar and Vinaya Bedrupane were present among others.
