Mangalore, August 11: Opposing the exclusion of political parties from the Right to Information act, Aam Adhmi party members staged a protest in front of the deputy commissioner office on Saturday.
On the occasion protesters urged to bring the political parties under the RTI act.
Addressing the gathering Aam Adhmi party district convener Robert Rosario said that object of the RTI act is to provide the information to common people and also to give the information about elected leaders. Government did not bring the political parties, but it must be and nearly six main political parties of the nation have accepted for this decision. If parties not come under the RTI, people cannot know about illegal activities and economic management of the nation, hence he urged to implement the RTI act.
