Urging to drop the carry over system APCSA stages human chain protest

Mangalore, August 7:  Opposing the carry over system All Polytechnic College Students Association (APCSA) staged a protest by forming a human chain at Hampankatta Signal Mangalore, here on August 6.

Addressing the gathering, ACU law advisor Advocate Dinaker Shetty said that from several days though the polytechnic students are protesting through hunger strike, College bundh and by submitting the memorandum to government officials and ministers urging to drop the present carryover system, still the system tries to strangle the life of students.

The union staging protest from past 32 days and because of the carry over system 7 students’s committed suicide in the state. Moreover, Udupi resident Santhosh Kumar was also one of the committers and union requested the government for financial help Rs 5 lakh to his family. If the problem is not solved, then in the coming days union will stage the protest in front of CM’s house, in the name of Bangalore Chalo, he said.

APCSA president Ramith Kumar, Vice president Vinay H J, Sachin Bangera, Dikshith, Karishma D Ullal, Udupi president Jovin, Secretary Sachin, Belthangady President Mohammed Arif, Sullia President Prajwal K T, Karkala President Nisha N Shetty, Moodbidri President Johnson were present among others.
