Mangalore, August 5: On July 17th at Belthangadi bus stand few organisations and locals allegedly assaulted the Dalit girls, hence Dalit committee leaders forced police to take stringent action against them in the meet held at SP office regarding SC and ST.
Dalit Comittee convener Honnappa Kunder said that the incident has completed its 18th days but so far no action taken by the police and department must give the answer for this. On the Dalit fighting committee president supported the organisation, hence oral fight occurred between him and gathered women.
SP Abhishek Goel said that there are three more complaints registered regarding the issue and Dalit leaders given complaint against attackers. Hence case will handover to additional higher officer to take overhaul investigation and action will take before 15 days, he assured.
Naxal Package misuse: Vittala Malekudiya alleged that, Naxal victim areas youth were appointed as home guards. It causes for misuse of naxal package. That is not employment, rather than that is service. Hence h urged to provide the job facility to the scs and sts in the social work department and itdp etc.
