Mangalore, August 3:Mangalore North MLA Mohiyuddin Bava said that cattle thieves are increasing in the Dakshina Kannada, hence city police commissioner has been asked to form a special squad to catch the thieves and prevent such incidents.
Addressing the media persons he condemned cattle theft incidents and said that those who are depend on cattle for their livelihood suffers a lot from the cattle thieves and put them in a great difficulty. Hence Police have been instructed to arrest the culprits as soon as possible.
‘The culprits won’t be protected at any cost and an attempt to disrupt peace and communal harmony in district will be punishable. There were allegations that I have been giving protection to cattle thieves. But this is utterly false and already put pressure on police to arrest the culprits immediately and discussions will be held with the police regarding increase the security at night,” he added.”There are illegal slaughters houses running in various places, hence stringent action will be taken against them,” he assured.
On the occasion opposing the cattle trafficking Shrirama Sene requested the Mohiyuddin Bava to take immediate action against the culprits and submitted a memorandum to give full stop to heinous action of cattle killing.
