Kasargod, Aug 1: A train engine hit a school boy while crossing the railway track on Wednesday July 31.
The boy has been identified as Johar (8), son of Jaleel Tailangady and 3rd standard student of Palakunnu Greenwood School.
Due to death of the employee of same school, holiday was announced, hence to enjoy the holiday, Johar had gone to his grandmother’s house but unfortunately he met with accident by the train engine while crossing the railway track near his grandmother’s house and the school boy died on the spot.
Another incident: An employee of the Palakunnu Greenwood School was died after a train hit her while crossing the railway track near Uduma Pallam here on Tuesday
The employee has been identified as Chitra (44) and incident took place when Chitra was returning to her house from her relative’s home, in Uduma Pallam, train rammed into her. A source says that train wasw moving towards mangalore and she did not notice approaching train.
The mortal remains sent to Kasargod general hospital and after the post-mortem the body were handed over to the family.
