Putture, July 30: ABVP union students staged a protest supporting student Ranjith, who was accused in the Muslim girl’s hair pulling case at Uppinangadi College campus, here on Monday.
After boycotting the class students were carried rally through Uppinangadi Naadakacheri and submitted the memorandum to Puttur division officer Prasanna. Former MLA Mallika Prasad, District BJP general secretary Sanjeeva Matandur, ABVP state convener Ramesh were present.
A source says that several students were present to class and classes were run as usual. Police were succeeded maintain the peace.
