Udipi; July 27: Expressing anguish over the problems faced by the students regarding “carry-over” system students of Manchi, Manipal, Kundapur and Kadiyaly staged a protest in front of the DC office on July 27.
Students claim that under the present system more than 80% of the students cannot attend next semester unless they clear certain minimum number of subjects. As a result, many students have been deprived from pursuing their education. Besides many diploma students are facing problems because of the change in syllabus, they added.
The students urged the concerned authorities to take up this carry-over system seriously and allow the students to continue their education.
