All College Union State President and Legal advisor Dinakar Shetty alleged that due to the carry over system more than 5000 students loosed their educational life. ‘Last time student were permitted under high court order to continue their education even if they failed in 10 subjects. But in the present system, students could go to the next class, only if they pass a certain minimum number of subjects and this has created problems for students’ education. Hence union had requested with government, ministers and MLAs and personally discussed with higher education minister, but no step has take yet. There are 4 ministers, 8 MLA’s and one MP in our district but no one is listening to our plea’, he said. He urged that concerned authority to take up this carryover system seriously and allow the students to continue their education.
