Illegal religious buildings should be erected: Deputy Commissioner

Mangalore, july.22: Based on Supreme Court order, conducted survey in Dakshina Kannada has identified 1579 illegal religious building and structures, where action has taken against 332 buildings and structures and 277 building are razed to ground due to disturbance to the public, said Deputy Commissioner and District illegal religious building erection unit president N Prakash.

He was speaking in the meeting organised at his office and checked the progress of work. Giving the notice to sub department officials and talhsildar, he ordered that the officials should investigate about the raised illegal building and building structures at public road or in the across of public garden and should present progress report to district unit before July 29. He further said to officials that if any building is problematic to  public, that should be erected.

Additional Jail Officer K Dayananda Said that there are 55 building are legalised, because those buildings are not problematic to general public. 332 incidents are there in front of the erection unit and 1242 incidents are left to handle, he said.

Zilla Panchayat CEO Thulasi Maddineni was present among others.
