Mangalore, July 20: Ombudsman Sheena Shetty said in his speech that under Mahatma Gandhi’s national village job guarantee scheme, if we give importance for preservance of identified land, suitable irrigation, water resources, forest, growing trees, plants, formation of water evaporative reservoirs, wells and work with dedication and sincerely by adhering to nature’s law all the villages in the district will be flourished, prospered and can be converted into model villages within three-four years, he said
Shetty, while speaking in the district level monthly village development and promoter’s progress review meeting and Narega labours awareness rally organized at Perlavu Dakshina Kannada model higher primary school, which falls under the jurisdiction of Kadeshwalya gram panchayat on July 19, shared his experiences.
People,centres and institutions, which work for the prosperity, progress,flourish,bloom and development of the villages under job guarantee scheme spoke on the occasion and shared their experiences about complete literacy, cleanliness and benefits of the scheme and ensured that this scheme would reach to all the families in the villages.
Malleshappa,director of district adult education department,Sathish,Main lecturer, higher primary school,Kukkappa,main lecturer in primary school also shared their experiences on complete literacy,act on right for education on the occasion. Harish from horticulture & gardening department shared his experience about horticulture and gardening under job guarantee scheme.
Kathijamma, Narayan, Jaya from Self-help group also shared their experiences in their respective fields.Jayamala,Panchayat development officer was present.
