Udupi, July 20 : A state-level photography competition titled “Rain” will be held as part of World Photography day by Udupi Press Photographers’ Association (UPPA).

The press release issued by Udupi Press Photographers’ Association (UPPA)  stated that the pictures should depict the Rainy day. The first prize winner will carry home Rs 3,333, while the second and third prize winners will be awarded Rs 2222 and Rs 1111 respectively. Apart from main winners, five will be awarded consolation prizes that carried certificate and the memento each.

The salon calendar closes on August 10 and judging will be done on August 12 with result announcement on August 13. The exhibition of photos will be displayed in MGM college on August 19.

Each entrant may submit a maximum of four entries. The maximum size of colour prints should be in 12 x 18 inch and all prints should be un-mounted. Further each entry should bear title, name and address of the entrant.

All entries must be entirely the work of the entrant and that the jury’s decision will be final. Unless otherwise specified the competition committee reserve the right to reproduce any of the entries in the catalogue or press without any payment.

The organizers will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage except, for those caused due to negligent handling at their hand. Stained and defaced prints will not be considered for selection. Submission of entries implies acceptance of all conditions of the salon, the release added.
