Mangalore,July 17: Addressing the media reporters in the press meet held at district’s congress office on July 16, Tuesday Poojary, former union minister and senior congress leader said in his address that “puppy” comment made by Narendra Modi referring to the Post-Godhra riots has hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community.

In a bitter and scathing attack on Modi,Poojary said that the remark, made by Gujarat chief minister in an interview recently held, with reference to post-Godhra riots, wherein he had stated that one feels sad when a puppy comes under the wheel of a car, has become an issue of national debate. His ideology is dangerous not only for minorities but for all communities, as he is cheating the country with his lies, he lamented.

Terming Modi as ‘sardar of lies’, Poojary added that if Modi becomes the Prime minister, then the condition of the country will be more disastrous and as people are aware of his deeds, he will not become the prime minister and he is not eligible at all, he said. If he comes to Karnataka again, BJP will be digging its own grave, the way as it happened in the recent assembly elections.

“After ‘puppy’ comment, Modi charged Congress with wearing the ‘burqa of secularism’ and thereby targeted the Muslim community again with that remark,” he said.
