Mangaluru, December 29: A youth who was seriously injured on his head in a Scooter accident that took place near Thokkotu, and was admitted to a hospital has succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Tanesh(28), resident of Hanuman Nagar in Kumpala. He had owned a tailor shop in Mangaladevi.
On the evening of December 18th, Tanesh was returning home after his day’s work on his Honda Activa scooter. On the way, while a woman suddenly crossed the National Highway-66 in Kallapu near Thokkotu, the scooter dashed to her and then collided to the road divider. As a result, Tanesh was thrown on to the road and suffered injuries on his head. Although he was injured, Tanesh himself admitted the injured woman to a private hospital in Thokkotu, it is gathered.
The brothers of Tanesh who came to know about the accident rushed to the spot. On noticing the injury on the head of Tanesh, they admitted him to the hospital. But he failed to respond to the treatment and expired on Sunday.
A case regarding this has been filed at Ullal police station.
