Moodbidri, December 28: The three day long ‘Alva’s Virasat-2015’ which was held at Vanajakshi K Shripati Bhat stage in Moodbidri drew curtains on Sunday, December 27th.
Veteran artist Padmashree Dr Manu Parekh from Delhi was presented the ‘Alva’s Varna Virasat’ award.
President of Bunt’s association Mumbai- Vishwanath Shetty Karnikere, and Business men Devi Prasad Shetty inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp.
Dr M Mohan Alva-Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, presided over the program.
Addressing the gathered he said, the religious and cultural areas which are the prime factors of life are witnessing a fall in recent days. The fake matters that have also entered the folklore and classical field are responsible for misleading the youth. The youth especially the students must take interest about this, he said.
On the dais, wife of Parekh- Madhavi Parekh, former Minister Amarnath Shetty, Secretary S.D.M. educational institutions Ujire- Dr B Yashovarma, vice-chancellor of NITTE University – Dr S Ramananda Shetty, President of Suraj Educational Charitable Trust in Mudipu- Manjunath S Revankar, Administrative Director of Muniyalu Ayurveda College- Vijay Banu Shetty and suggestion committee member – Ganesh Somayyaji and Purushottama Adve were present.
