Manipal: Department of Public Instruction, Department of State Education Research and training Bangalore, District institute of Education and Training (DIET) Udupi, organized Inspire Award Scheme, implementation of 12 five year plan “Nation’s Endeavour to foster science – leaders of the tomorrow” a Districts level exhibition of science projects and competition (DLEPC-3) from 13th July to 16th July 2013.
The districts level exhibition was inaugurated by Vinay Kumar Sorakke, and said that the contribution from the student to the district is enormous. Their academic ranks and the percentage is well known. This shows the hidden talent of the students and further what is required is the right guidance from the teachers and parents.
He added that such competitions will sharpen the mind of the students and they should be encouraged to the maximum. All organizations are supposed to come up with such platforms.
The students had created wonders in scientific innovations. Around 714 students in the district were given scholarships during the year 2012-13 from INSPIRE.
Promod Madwaraj said that it is a project by the central government, every student is given Rs. 5000 to improve the scientific skills of student . Indians are in the first place in Information and Technology but what concerns is when the matter comes to Engineering and Electronics, Germany and Japan are in better position.
“The students are the future of India and there are many things elders should learn from them. So let us grow them with sharp mind” he added
