Mangaluru, December 14: By January end, there is a target to achieve 100 percent growth in the Aadhar card registration in Dakshina Kannada district. At present, 87.91 percent growth is achieved in the district, informed the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim.
To expedite the Aadhaar card enrolment; facilities are made in schools, and anganwadi centres. The total population of the district is 20,83,625 and among this, 18,14,669 members already possess the Aadhar cards. Still 2,68,956 members have not registered for Aadhar cards, he informed.
To speed up the Aadhar card registration in Dakshina Kannada district, 16 Aadhar registration kits will arrive from the state e-administration department. In addition, the Aadhar registration will be sped up through the tablets in Anganwadi centres. In this view, already 66 supervisors of Women and Child Welfare Department have been trained, he informed.
