Mangaluru, November 26: ‘Alva’s Vidyarthisiri-2015’ was inaugurated by film Director, recipient of National award P Sheshadri. The student literature- culture conference is hosted by Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri.
For the future’s poets, and writers, the activities taking place here to drive them is unique. In the recent days where the students are moving away from Kananda language, culture and literature, this conference is a base to draw them back, said Shalika Yekkar presiding over the conference.
Prior to the inauguration of Vidayrthisiri, Nadoja Hampa Nagarajaiah and Dr Kamala Hampana hoisted the flag of Alva’s Nudisiri.
Three achievers were presented with ‘Alva’s Vidyarthisiri Award’ and honoured on this occasion.
Lecture was delivered by Shradha N Paivalike, on the topic “Kannada Hadugabba” while Sowmya Saraganachari Gulbarga, presented lecture on ‘Youth and India’.
Presided over by Sushmita K, student of Alva’s Pre-University College the ‘Kavigosti’ was held.
The selected students from Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Kasargod districts had participated in this conference.
