Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda visits family of late Harish Poojary, extends personal assistance of Rs 50,000.

Bantwal, November 16: Union minister for law and justice, D V Sadananda Gowda, visited the house of Harish Poojary near Halegetu in Manihalla on Sunday November 15th and consoled the family.

A gang that arrived in a Maruti Omi car had stabbed Harish Poojary to death and stabbed his friend Suhail on the night of Thursday, November 12th while the duos were returning on a bike after playing cricket.

Minister Sadananda Gowda also handed over his personal contribution of Rs 50,000 to the family.

Speaking to the media later, There is total administrative failure in the state. The deaths of youths and children have become a routine affair in the state. He warned that people may revolt if such incidents keep on repeating. He said the chief minister (CM) of Karnataka is directly responsible for the incidents that have been occurring post the Tipu Jayanti celebrations.

Recalling that the cruelity and destruction caused by Tipu Sultan in Kodagu district has remained permanently etched in the minds of the people there,  DVS questioned the CM about the decision to conduct the celebrations although there was strong opposition to the proposal of Tipu Sultan’s birth anniversary celebrations in the state assembly, legislative council, and the people in general. He said that a plan has been hatched to start trouble in the name of Tipu birth anniversary. He asked the concerned to learn lessons from the incidents taking place in the state since a week. He suggested to order judicial probe into all these incidents.
