Mangaluru, November 16: In the wake of unpleasant incidents reported after the Tipu Jayanti celebrations, a march past was taken up by the rapid action force in sensitive area Ullal on Sunday, November 16th.
Additional police forces have been brought from neighbouring districts to maintain law and order in the district. The rapid action force went on a march in Ullal on the evening of Sunday, November 16th. Karnataka Industrial security force and KSRP platoons have been deployed in the district. Ten KRSP platoons have been provided for Mangaluru city.
DC advices publics to reduce moving out in night in sensitive areas:
The revenue department has also joined hands along with the police department to monitor law and order situation in the district. Funds will be released to the police department to install additional CCTV cameras in sensitive areas of the district. When I travelled to various places in the district since two days, I noticed publics moving out freely during night. As many unpleasant incidents took place at night; the DC appealed to the public’s to avoid moving out during night during sensitive periods.
