Udupi: Ramanath Rai (The Minister for Forest and Environment) said Udupi Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) thermal power plant pollution will be investigated by a team of senior officials from Environment Pollution Control Board, to put an end to speculation that the environmental disaster is taking place in the region.
Speaking to the media persons at Congress office on his first to the District, he added that if the team of senior officials from Environmental Pollution Control Board finds any pollution related factors, rectification will be asked immediately.
He also said the proposal for Tiger Reserve in Kudremukh Wild Life Division was considered earlier but not aware of current situation. He assured to check the issue. this issue had created massive objection from the public.
He added Congress is a party with national integrity. He is nothing without the party. There are many weak secular parties, who cannot compete with the only senior party of the nation as a whole. People here expected more from this government and so Congress will meet with public expectation and so it will be a transparent government.
