Kasargod, October 23: In a tragic incident, two boys drowned in a pond at Talangere in Kasargod on the evening of Wednesday, October 23rd.
The deceased brothers are identified as Altaf (8) and Aatif (4), children of Anwar and Reshma couple from Deralakatte, Mangaluru.
It is said that the incident took place at around 6.30 pm.
It is gathered that, the two children had come to the place along with their mother and grandmother for “Ziarat” in Malik Dinar Masjid. This incident took place when the boys went to the pond close by. On hearing the cries, the locals rushed at the spot removed the two boys from the pond. Although the boys were rushed to the hospital, they could not be saved.
As it was holidays for children, Reshma had visited her mothers house along with her children.
The Kasargod police rushed to the spot and have taken up the investigations.
