Controversial Remarks: Complaint filed by Sri Rama Sene against Prof Bhagwan

Mangaluru, September 29: A complaint has been filed by the district unit of Sri Rama Sene against Kannada writer and rationalist Prof K S Bhagwan for his recent controversial remarks on Lord Krishna and thus hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.

Anand Shetty Adyar, the divisional president of Sri Rama Sene filed the complaint in Mangaluru rural police station Monday September 28th.

Sri Rama Sene has stated in the complaint that, Dakshina Kannada district is communally sensitive. Majority of Hindus live here and they worship Lord Krishna. By making such controversial statements in public, Prof Bhagwan is hurting their sentiments and also violating the rule. Hence stringent action should be taken against him and justice should be provided, urged Sri Rama Sene.

Speaking to the media, Anand Shetty said, Prof Bhagwan has been making controversial remarks on Hinduism and Hindu deities since a year. Sri Ram Sene strongly condemns his remarks. I have also requested the police to take action to stop people from making such kind of remarks that hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus, he said.
