Mangaluru, September 23: Police Inspector Cheluvaraj of Suratkal police station, was injured after a bus collided to his car near Mukka on Wednesday September 23rd.
It is gathered that a Navadurga Prasad bus plying from Mangaluru came on the wrong side and collided head on to the private car of Inspector Cheluvaraj.
As work is under progress at Suratkal toll gate, there was heavy traffic jam near Mukka and the route was made one way. Inspector Cheluvaraj had been to the spot to clear the traffic jam.
It is gathered that while he was returning from the spot in his private car, a speeding bus arrived from the wrong side and dashed to his car. Cheluvaraj who was injured on his head was rushed to the hospital.
It is said, Inspector Cheluvaraj was driving the car and was alone. The front portion of the car is badly mangled after the accident.
The bus driver had been arrested and a case is registered by Suratkal police.
