Mangaluru, September 15: “I am a part of government, government’s stand is my stand” said Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai speaking about the Yettinahole project.
He said this in response to the queries of the news reporters. He remained on his stand while answering the queries of the media representatives.
In the surroundings of Sakleshpura, 13.92 hectares of land will go for Yettinahole project. This project work has begun outside the forest jurisdiction and not within the forest jurisdiction. The area in Western Ghats will go for the project. Five years ago, this project was implemented with consent from two houses and nothing can be done now, he said.
Due to the project, the situation will prevail that water will not be available neither here nor to Kolar. The Rs 13 crores amount being spent for the project is a waste. Not even 4-5 TMC’s water is present in the spot of the project and for all such kinds of queries, the minister did not give satisfactory answers. He only said all the parties’ people’s representatives are responsible for project.
Soon, meeting will be called to discuss on the pros and cons of project. He also criticized that the MP is doing drama by joining the protest against this project.
