Koodlu cooperative bank robbery case: Sketch of an accused released

Kasargod, September 11: The investigation team has obtained some clear clues about the accused who were involved in cooperative bank robbery case, Koodlu Branch in Eriyal. Three members are taken into custody on charges of helping the robbers and are being investigated.

Meanwhile, sketch of an accused has been released by the investigating team. This sketch has been drawn as per the information collected from eye witnesses. The police have received information about involvement of more than six members in burglary and clear information about the four accused have been collected by the investigating team which has said that within next two days, the case would be cracked.

On the allegations of dropping an accused to Mangaluru in a car, the investigation team took three persons into custody for questioning. The car has been seized.

Police have learnt that, at the same time the prime accused left the place three days ago, and the crime was conducted through his four aides.

Based on footages recorded in the CCTV’s located adjacent to National Highways, the information about the bike in which accused had fled was gathered.

It is said, the Kasargod police had received a phone call from Mumabi during which the caller had said he was ready to provide information about the accused. The anonymous caller while he had phoned the Kasargod police Circle inspector K Sudhakaran had said that if he would be honoured appropriately, he would provide all the details. Meanwhile the police said, this might be an idea intending to misguide the investigations.

Stolen Gold Chain found:

One of the locals, found a gold chain weighing six grams fallen near a petrol bunk close to the Bank. He has handed it over to city police station. The name of the person who had borrowed the loan and the bank account number was also mentioned on the envelope which contained the chain. It is suspected that the chain might have fallen while the robbers were fleeing from the spot.
