Mangaluru, September 7: Suspicions surround the death of a first BCom student Rakshita (18) who committed suicide by hanging in the bathroom of her hostel in Moodibdre on Sunday morning, August 7th.
The deceased girl Rakshita was the daughter of Anand, resident of Jayanagar, Bengaluru. She was studying in Alva’s College, Moodabidri.
It is said that the girl had committed suicide being unable to bear the harassment at the hands of warden of the college hostel where she had stayed. Information are out that Rakshita had narrated about this in her death note, it is said.
However, the warden informed that, many girl inmates of the hostel had complained to her that their belongings were missing. Hence when all the students were subjected to checking, many mobile phones, dresses of student’s, and other items were found with Rakshita, said the warden. Rakshita confessed to her mistake and then had returned all the items which she had stolen. Being embarrassed over this incident, the girl might have committed suicide, the warden said.
Moodbidri police have registered a case. Investigations are yet to reveal the actual cause of death.
