Mangaluru, September 1: A River Sailing Expedition from August 31st to September 9th is being organised by 5th Karnataka Naval Unit NCC, Mangaluru at the Lobo’s River View was inaugurated by N Sharath Bhandary, Chairman of Permanent Lok Adalat of DK, Udupi, Chikkamagaluru and Shivamogga on Tuesday September 1st.
As many as 50 Naval NCC cadets including 20 girls from various colleges will participate in this eight days expedition.
Commanding Officer of Naval unit of NCC, Mangaluru- Capt. MC Belliappa, said that this sailing expedition is being organized for the cadets after nearly a decade. Daily two batches of cadets will leave for expedition which would cover 200 kms, while other cadets will be engaged in other listed activities, informed Capt. MC Belliappa.
