Yenepoya University will sign an agreement with institute of Oncology Group for cancer treatment

Mangalore, June 27: Addressing the press reporters in the press meet held at Pathrika Bhavan on June 27, Thursday Dr Rahul said in his address that institute of Oncology group and Yenepoya University would sign an agreement for the treatment of cancer patients on June 29, Saturday.

Further he said, for the affordable quality treatment of poor cancer patients from Mangalore and surrounding the areas, Mangalore institute of Oncology group will enter into an agreement with Yenepoya University for providing treatment for cancer.

 For the complete treatment of cancer Yenepoya medical college and hospital, would be opening one cancer treatment division and for the treatment of cancer, institute of Oncology group has got all the facilities like Oncologist, Surgical, Radiation, Medical Oncology and other related treatment facilities. Besides for the lungs cancer effective sterio taxic treatment is also available.MOG is under the management of Oncological, is the only one specialty hospital in the region, he said.

The agreement signing programme has been arranged for June 29th at Yenepoya Medical college auditorium.

Abdul Kunhi, yenepoya Medical college chancellor will preside over the function and chief guests like B Ramanatha Rai,district in charge and minister for forest, ecology and environment and U T Khader minister for health and family welfare will be participating.

Dr Jilani, Yenepoya Medical College, Dr Jalaluddin, MD, Mangalore institute of Oncology and Dr Y Sanath Hegde were present in the meet.
