Mangaluru, August 21: With the vision that the youth should not be deprived of education due to financial glitch, the Vishwa Konkani Kendra has established the student scholarships fund. By providing the student scholarships, and providing financial assistance to thousands of students, it was able to develop an emotional bond with the Vishwa Konkani Kendra, said T V Mohandas Pai, chairman, Manipal Global Academy.
He delivered his keynote address in a scholarships distribution ceremony held at T V Raman Pai Convention Centre here on Thursday August 20th. He said, the students from communities such as Kharvi, Kudubi and others could pursue their education with the assistance of the scholarships and rise to a good position in the society.
Basti Vaman Shenoy president of Vishwa Konkani Kendra presided over the ceremony.
Managing Director of Indico Remedies, Mumbai- Sandeep V Bamblookar, Prakash Pai- Entrepreneur from Hyderabad, and S M Sayyed Khaleelurahman from Bhatkal group of Institutions were present as the chief guests.
President of Vishwa Konkani Kendra student’s scholarship fund- Ramdas Kamath U, Secretary Pradeep G Pai, Sandeep Shenoy and others were present.
