Main accused in Syndicate Manager’s murder case arrested in Gujarat

Mangalore, June 24: Mangalore City Police have arrested the main accused in the murder case of assistant bank manager Anjana who was strangled to death in Bejai-Kapikad in April this year.

Mahesh, the boyfriend of Anjana, is the arrested person, who was nabbed in Gujarati City of Surat by the Urwa police and brought to Mangalore.

Anjana had been working as assistant manager in the Katipalla branch of Syndicate Bank. It is said that she had had an affair with Mahesh, a north Indian, who worked previously at Hotel Poonja International as a security supervisor.

Mahesh had been absconding after Anjana was found in a half-murdered condition in his rented house. Although Anjana was rushed to a hospital, she was declared dead by doctors.
A case had been registered on the matter and police had launched a manhunt for Mahesh.
