Mangaluru, July 16: The luggage problem in Jet Airways has continued, and now a passenger who arrived from Abu Dhabi has complained against the company that the passengers are facing inconveniences as their luggage’s have not been handed over to them.

In the Jet Airways flight which arrived at Mangaluru International Airport from Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, the passenger’s luggages have not been transported in the same flight which has caused inconveniences to them. Especially for the passengers who had arrived to Mangaluru for Id Ul Fitar festival; before boarding the flight, the staffs of the organization at Abu Dhabi keep back their luggages and say them it would be sent on the next day. But sometimes their luggages will not be sent even after two days. As the necessary items along with the clothes for the festivals will be kept in the luggages, the passengers suffer as those items are not handed over in time, said a Jet Airways passenger who arrived at Mangaluru from Abu Dahbi on Wednesday.

According to Mohammed Ali Ucchil, President of Bearys Welfare Forum Abu Dhabi, who arrived by the same flight; this Jet Airways flight of Abu Dhabi is the connecting flight to the passengers who arrive from Muscat and Riyadh. In this flight there are chances that the luggages of passengers who arrive from Muscat and Riyadh may already get filled. Hence the organization give them first priority and inform the passengers boarding from Abu Dhabi that their luggages would be sent on the next day as there were no place for luggages. But the passengers have to suffer as their luggages are not delivered even on the next day. Hence he has requested the organization to seriously consider the task of handing over the luggage and hand over the passengers luggage soon after they land at the airport.

Accidentally, an incident has been reported where in a passenger holding a hand bag who was bound to Kerala, and travelled by the same flight was stopped by an authority at Abu Dhabi who told that the hand bag would be sent along with his luggage. But as soon as that person arrived at the Mangaluru airport, while he was checked, his passport had remained in the same hand bag which was retained earlier. Hence according to the norms of the Airport Authority, he ought to present his passport before coming out of the airport.

The passengers have urged the Jet Airways organization to send the passengers luggages in the same flight in which they travel.
