Mangaluru, July 10: The state home minister KJ George has said, that 323 additional police jobs is created for Dakshina Kannada district.
Home Minister was answering to a query of MLA Ivan D’Souza during the Belagavi sessions that what measures are taken by the government to strengthen the police force in Dakshina Kannada District.
In the district, 13 police stations and 5 police outposts are functioning. Along with these new Traffic police stations and Dahrmasthala police stations have been sanctioned. The proposal for upgrading Bellare police outpost as police station is under consideration, informed K J George.
Sixty quarters have been constructed under “Twaritha Vasathi Yojane”. Presently there are demands for 1,302 quarters. Under the ‘Police quarters 2020 project’ 384 quarters will be constructed said the Home Minister answering the query of MLA Ivan D’Souza.
