Kasargod, June 29: Five high school students have gone missing from Kumble here on Saturday June 28th.
The boys are namely Murshid (17) from Kumble Peruvad, Mohammed Irshad (16) of Kumble, Naushad (16) of Mulleria, Faees (16) from Kumble, and Jitesh (16) from Arikkad all from same class and students of Government Higher Primary School in Kumble.
The complaint stated that, on Saturday, June 27th the boys told their parents that they had to attend a special class in school and did not return home.
The anxious parents who went to the school to enquire, learnt from the teachers that the boys had neither gone to the school, nor there was any special class.
Although a search operation was carried out, the boys were untraced. Later a complaint was filed by the parents.
A case has been registered at Kumble police station. Search operation is underway to trace the missing boys.
