Bantwal, June 29: A minor collision between a car and a bike snowballed to a tussle between two groups at Polali entrance arch in Maripalla, BC Road on the night of Sunday June 28th.
It is said that a car and a bike had collided near the Polali entrance arch. After this, the car driver and bike rider began an argument, and crowd gathered at the spot. The arguments quickly snowballed into a fight between two groups.
The Bantwal rural police who rushed to the spot resorted to lathi charge in order to disperse the mob and bring the situation under control. Additional police security has been deployed at the spot as a security measure.
Bantwal circle inspector Beliappa, rural police inspector Rakshith Gowda and other police staff were present at the spot of incident.
