51st Amala Bharath Swachata Abhiyaan inaugurated by Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake

Mangaluru, June 29: ‘Amala Bharath Abhiyaan’ organized by the Amruthananada Mutt is a unique contribution to the country. ‘Amala Bharath’ of Maata Amrutanandamayi is an inspiration to the central governments ‘Swachh Bharat’ program, said Vinay kumar Sorake, Urban development Minister of the state.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the 51st ‘Swachata Abhiyan’ organized by the Maata Amrutanandamayi Mutt at Amrutha Vidaylayam here on Sunday.

In many aspects, the citizens of the country have moved forward. In a similar manner, they should also come forward in terms of public cleanliness. The cleanliness program will be successful when one thinks that the society is a family, expressed Sorake.

Shree Jithakamanandaji of Ramakrishna Mutt Mangaluru said, the Indians have changed a lot and have given much priority towards the public cleanliness. Amala Bharath Abhiyaan is an example for this. Mangaluru is ahead in terms of education. Many diseases are being spread here, in this regard it is necessary to spread awareness, he said.

On this occasion, Minister felicitated Environmentalist Krishnappa who participated in Swachata Abhiyan and worked for its success, Scouts and Guides commissioner N G Mohan, Former president of Mangaluru Rotary club Madhava Suvarna, Vinetha Rai of Roshani Nilaya, and Geetha Balachandra. Certificates were disbursed to the organizations and participants of the Swachata Abhiyan.

President of Amala Bharath Abhiyaan association Dr Jeevraj Sorake spoke on this occasion.

On the dais, Shrinivas Shettigar of Amala Bharath Abhiyaan association was also present along with other dignitaries.

Shruthi Sanath Hegde of Abhiyaan association welcomed the gathering and Manjunath Revankar thanked. Dr Devdas compeered the program.
