Mangaluru, June 29: A new born had died in Lady Groschen hospital here, post which the family of the child and locals protested in front of the hospital on Sunday, June 28th alleging of the hospital doctor’s negligence.
Prabhavathi, wife of Aman Kumjathbail was admitted to the Lady Groschen hospital here on June 25th for delivery. She delivered a baby boy on the same day.
From the day of delivery till Sunday, June 28th, afternoon, the baby was healthy. But at 2.30pm, all of a sudden the body of the baby turned blue in colour, and suffered from breathing problem. On noticing this although the doctors had provided immediate treatment, but after some time, the doctors said the baby had died.
Dr Rajesh suspects that the baby might have suffered from breathing problem while the baby was being fed.
Meanwhile, the family of the baby along with the public’s protested in front of the hospital alleging doctor’s negligence. They demanded Health Minister UT Khadar to visit the spot and provide them justice.
