Dr M Veerappa Moily inaugurates 2nd phase Business Administration building in Mangalore University campus.

Mangaluru, June 23: The second phase Business Administration building in Mangalore University College in Hampankatta in the city built by the alumni association was inaugurated by the Honorary President of Alumni association, Former Union Minister and MP Dr M Veerappa Moily on Monday, June 22nd.

Speaking after the inauguration, Dr Veerappa Moily said, the government college which has a history of about 147 years, provides undergraduate and post graduate programmes. In addition, a proposal should be submitted to open a business study centre here, with a view to draw the attention of the world, suggested Dr Moliy to the Chancellor of Mangalore University.

Former student of the college as well as the district in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai participated as the chief guest on this occasion. Speaking on this occasion, he cherished the past memories of his days in the University college.

President of the Alumni association Dr K Sunder Nayak presided over the ceremony.

Chief guests MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLC Ivon D’Souza, and Mangalore University Chancellor Prof K Byrappa wished well on this occasion.

Roy Castelino, President of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy as well as the contractor of the building construction was felicitated on this occasion.

On the dais, Sunanda U- Principal of the college, former principal Satyanarayana Mallipatna, office bearers of alumni association D Srinivas Nayak, Subhodaya Koodlu, Vishwanath R Putran, R Rohidas, and B Prakash Pai were present.

General Secretary of the association, B Dharmannna Nayak welcomed the gathering and MS Kotyan mastered the ceremony.
