Mangaluru, June 23: The BJP staged protest in front of the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) against the congress government over its failure of governance in the MCC.
The protesters raised slogans against the congress government and expressed their rage over the stalled renovation works of the Town hall since ten months.
Speaking on this occasion, former Minister Krishna J Palemar said, the developmental works in the city have decreased. The Town hall is most necessary for the artists, but the renovation works there are getting delayed. He alleged that due to unnecessary politics and corruption, the income which was supposed to be earned from the Town hall to the MCC has been affected. This attitude of the congress is condemnable, he said.
Former MP Monappa Bhandary said, by playing politics and citing petty reasons, the congress believes that transferring the commissioner is only the administration. It has failed to protect the interests of the public’s. Either the transferred commissioner should be reinstated again or else a new commissioner should be appointed at the earliest, he demanded.
