Mangaluru/ Suratkal, June 17: A seriously injured baby dolphin fish was found on the sea cost at Hosabettu here on the morning of Wednesday, June 17th.
People had gathered in large numbers to witness the Dolphin. The locals were also seen capturing images of the Dolphin on their cell phones.
About four feet long baby Dolphin was noticed lying on the seashore. Some wounds were also seen around the stomach area.
The locals after giving first aid treatment themselves to the Dolphin released it into the sea.
It is said, although the Dolphin was treated, there are meagre chances of its survival. It is suspected that injuries might have been caused when the Dolphin had come across the blades of the Ships or due to the motor boats.
Fishermen said that the Dolphins body had turned red in colour. There are chances that the wounded Dolphin might have come to this state after eating the industrial waste or due such water, it is said.
Some time ago, the Dolphins were spotted humming in Panambur beach, said the locals.
