Mangaluru, June 15: Thieves have fled with gold jewellery and cash worth Rs 2.30 from a locked house at Vas Lane in Kadri here. The incident came to light on the morning of Sunday, June 14th.
The theft took place in the house of Imthiayz, a resident of Vas Lane here.
It is suspected that the thieves might have broken into the house before sun rise.
The thieves sneaked into the house after breaking open the lock of the door and have made their way with the gold jewellery weighing about 52grams, worth Rs 1.30 lakhs and cash Rs 1 lakh, which were placed in the almaraiah.
A case has been lodged at Kadri Police Station. Police are investigating the case.
